The McCann agency was using a raw brush lettering by Ales Santos in its ads for Aquarius. Faced with the challenge of making dozens more letterings for more campaigns in several languages, they decided to commission a bespoke typeface full of randomness so they could design the ads for themselves.

We designed a new font with plenty of quirky ligatures and odd combinations that was used by Aquarius in many ads.
