Felix is a division of Purina especialising in treats and wet cat foot. The brand features a frisky tuxedo cat looking for fun, and Frisky was the key word in their briefing.

Actually they used Frisky by Ed Benguiat, but wanted to change it to something more exclusive, because Benguiat’s font is everywhere.

So Ales Santos and I designed a brand new typeface, also based in the Casual brush style in a more contemporary way. The new font family is slowly taking its place in a huge international brand, and sometimes I see it out in the wild when I go to the pet shop to buy treats for my own two tuxedos!
